Brand identity for a civil initiative promoting Ukrainian culture abroad and explaining how it has been either annihilated or appropriated through centuries by russian imperialism.

The “Out of Blackout” identity visualises centuries of cultural erasure and now the bold return of Ukrainian heritage. A heavy black bar crosses out a word, then fragments of colour and arrow‑forms burst through—a metaphor for what has been hidden or stolen, and what is now emerging, being shared. The system brings together stark monochrome contrast with dynamic colour, bold type and layered textures to tell a story of suppression, resurgence and the global reach of Ukrainian culture.
