In 2014, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs became the first ministry in the country to adopt a comprehensive brand identity system for its communications. The concept behind the branding is straightforward: Ukraine is a ship. The will of its people is the wind. MFA is the sail taking us back to Europe. The shape of the logo also echoes the architectural forms of both the MFA and the Cabinet of Ministers buildings.

The project was originally intended for the entire Ukrainian government, but for political reasons unknown to us, it was ultimately adopted only by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
